Eyes
From the naked eye she has
a perfect complexion. Her skin
and lips are gentle, soft
and creamy. Her eyes
— endlessly grey,
and her eyebrows thin. The bangs are
sloppy but her split ends are hidden.
That face with its endless eyes distracts
me —it captures me. She rarely smiles
wide enough for you to see her teeth.
They are big, square and unnaturally
white.
I like them.
She has freckles on
her cheeks— around her mouth and
three below her left
eye. She avoided eye contact with me
when we first met. I just wanted her
to look at me with those eyes
but she looked away.
Her beauty is an art canvas which makes you
yearn to see her soul. Holding up her head with
its burden is tiresome. It drags her feet
And her misunderstood soul.
Her eyes —endlessly grey— are a camouflage.
They drunken and seduce, but lie.
